Note to Stevie

Even when I'm not posting, I often visit a few favorite blogs that I have linked to the left on this page. One's a Man with a poets hand and an artists eye for seeing the beautiful things in life (GreyBiker - In High Cotton)

The other is a lady that speaks her mind in a very unique way that often gives me a chuckle and sometimes makes me want to just give her a big ol' hug.
(Stevie - Caught in the X-fire) I've only posted comments on hers a time or two as she so well sums things up that there's no need to say a word as it'd only diminish the impact.

I'm posting about all this to make a point and hopefully convey a message to her.

Stevie, I love yer blog and I picture you much like the pik you have up of yourself...the only difference is somehow I thought you might have red hair *grins*
You're a feisty lady that often spills her heart out in gushes that usually stay hidden in the lines of raw truth and looked past due to the subtle decoys of jokes and other diversions that you toss out.

I totally enjoy reading your blog and would love to have left this impression comment on your site if your comment link worked.

Now you see why I'm posting this here?

Be well and keep on writing lady, love to read ya!

Long Overdue Wedding Pik

Our long dreamed of event happened on the 3rd of September, 2006
As you may notice, we were able to have a renaissance wedding as hoped for by us as we are avid Rennys.

Puurrrrrr...isn't he so damned dashing?!!

*swoons*

The Battle Rages

Wrote this piece a few years ago in the midst of turmoil

Just below the surface the fury lies hidden like the dark waters of a still lake.
No one can see beneath the cool placid surface but the cauldron bubbles with seething white hot fury. It gnashes it fangs in the hungry need to rip apart anything in it's path, to destroy all that threaten to steal away the precious lock.
Should the lock be stolen, insanity will be set free thereby slashing at the belly of the beast and setting it loose to obliterate all before meeting it's own end. The raging beast knows this and so it guards the precious lock jealously till this time here is spent and peace will finally cool the heat as sweet peace settles within and the battle is done.

LIVE

A life is given of which we all take
for good or bad and all our mistakes

At times we laugh but more often cry
the only sure thing is that we all die.

This life is given not just for sport
not a passing fancy we simply abort

It's a treasure, a gift, a piece of time
with all it's problems, this life is mine

So to it's fullest I shall live
seeking more ways that I may give

Whether sharing my joy or easing one's sorrow,
This life is for sharing and happiness borrowed

We have joy in our hands to hold or to give
why not make life full, why not simply live?

As a survivor of cancer, this summation was written as encouragement
to those needing a nudge to remember that life itself is a gift.

2006 Approaches

Just want to wish all my friends/readers a very safe, healthy and Happy New Year!

Answer Me This

Provided as food for the palate of thought
this intangible goal of a maze is now wrought

Sometimes it is witty
but not always has charm

Although it asks harvest
it's not found on a farm

What am I?

Life Giving Journey

by muffincontrol on May 17, 2004

One little droplet glistening so bold,
waiting in silence as the petal unfolds.
It catches the sunlight and dazzles the eye,
it's loyalties split while catching the ride.

Beneath it lies the droplets main goal,
the recipient holding love stories untold.
Like the blush of a woman as it warms to her cheeks,
is the fullness of color and the fragrance so sweet.

As the tilt of the fauna causes the droplet to fall,
the bud starts to blossom now answering the call.
It's colors prepare as it seeks one more taste,
of that life giving fluid now moving with haste.

The droplet falls hard now spending it's life,
forgetting past journeys, forsaking the light.
It gives itself freely as it's energy's spent,
understanding it's short time was life only lent.

Soaking into the petals that it so dearly loved,
a beautiful sound is heard from above.
It's the voices of onlookers who knew it'd come soon,
they've come for this moment to see's Spring's first bloom.

As the bloom fully opens and shows it's full color,
little jewels now show forth like diamonds asunder.
Scattered and dancing across those new petals,
the moisture's complete now and finally settles.
